Wire Erosion

Wire erosion, also known as wire EDM (electrical discharge machining), offers the highest level of sampling precision available. It allows for extremely fine detail and tight tolerances, even in thicker or hard-to-machine materials. As such, it’s often referred to as the gold standard for prototyping in highly technical or regulated sectors.

So, if this is the case – Why isn’t wire erosion the only method of sampling we offer?

Quite simply, the trade-off is time and cost. Wire erosion is a slower process with a higher price point, but for applications where accuracy can’t be compromised, it offers unmatched results. It’s especially valuable for validating parts that will later require complex tooling, or where performance in critical applications must be guaranteed from the outset.
