Loose Piece

Although the majority of our output is reel-to-reel, Batten & Allen also offers a dedicated loose piece stamping service. This method is used for parts that require individual handling, specific packaging, or are not suited to reel presentation due to geometry or downstream process requirements.

Loose piece stamping is typically selected for smaller production runs or highly specialised applications

We work closely with our customers to understand their specific needs - recommending tray, box, or tape-and-reel packaging depending on how parts will be stored, shipped and used.

In many cases, we help customers redesign loose piece parts into reel-to-reel formats. This enables cost savings during production while offering the flexibility to crop or convert the parts into loose pieces at a later stage, typically within the customer’s facility.

In one example, we helped a client shift from loose strip-based purchasing to reel-to-reel supply, then supplied them with a custom cropping machine for on-demand cutting at point of use. This reduced the unit costs, increased yield, and gave the customer greater control over downstream processes.
