Warehouse Operative
Batten and Allen is a successful family run precision engineering business specialising in the stamping, plating and assembly of high precision parts to Customers in the electronics, automotive, medical and industrial markets.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our warehouse team to start immediately.
Previous experience isn't necessary, as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
job Role Information
From £12.60 an hour - Permanent, Full-time
Work Location: In person
Expected hours: 39 per week
Working hours are alternate shifts of weekly
06.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00 Monday to Thursday, 06.00 - 13.00 / 13.00 - 20.00 on Fridays.
The ideal candidate should:
- Be conscientious and willing to learn new skills.
- Be computer literate with an ability to effectively use software packages.
- High attention to detail, and accuracy to get things right first time.
- Deadline driven with the ability to work in a high paced environment.
- Well organized, with the ability to prioritise.
- Good literacy & numeracy skills.
- Good people skills with an ability to build good working relationships, working as part of a team or independently.
The following would be beneficial, but not essential, as training will be given.
- Warehouse experience: 1 year
- A driving licence
- A valid Counter Balance forklift license
- Experience of articulated / bendy truck
Duties will include
- Loading / offloading of deliveries when necessary.
- Booking goods in.
- Packing products for despatch whilst working as a team member to deliver high performance.
- Stock integrity - conducting regular stock checks, maintaining goods in and out procedures and ensuring proper storage of all goods held.
- Process control – maintaining efficient and effective systems, processes and procedures.
- Health & Safety - maintaining adherence to Health & Safety policies & procedures.
- Waste Management – minimising wastage through strong process controls.
